How to Enjoy Electronic Poker

For the cards the player wishes to keep, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can decide to keep any number of cards they want, from all to none.

After the player has chosen which cards he or she wishes to keep, they should press ‘deal’, at which point any fresh cards will be given out if desired. The hand is now completed, with the Video Poker machine scanning the hand to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands printed on the pay out schedule.

A list of common winning hands begins with jacks or better, and moves on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, 4 of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It definitely goes without saying that the pay out schedule can vary from game to game, so that knowledgeable players are able to select the most beneficial game each and every time.

Once the first round has finished, the player can either choose to continue on in an attempt to maximize their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to retrieve any cash that has been won. Additionally, some versions of the game give the bettor an opportunity to double their wins, in which case another round is played. There are also variations among individual games, with some virtual decks having wild cards and other differing aspects to enhance playability.
