Electronic Poker is a favored game that can be bet on in casinos around the world, or alternatively at home on your home computer, through a net account. The rules are very straightforward and involve the player trying to achieve the greatest combination of cards as you can in order to win money. In this respect it’s much the same as a regular game of poker, without the involvement with any other players. Of course, methods employed during a physical game of poker, like bluffing, will be useless here.
The game of Electronic Poker begins when the gambler inserts credits (either tokens, tickets or cash) into the video poker machine and presses the play button. A five card hand will then be electronically ‘dealt’ on the video screen.
The Video Poker game also has hold buttons, and gamblers should now decide which cards to keep and which to throw away. For the cards the gambler wishes to retain, the ‘hold’ buttons must be pressed so that they illuminate. The player can choose to keep any amount of cards they wish, whether it’s all or none.
After the bettor has chosen which cards she would like to retain, the player will then press ‘draw’, at which point any fresh cards will be needed they will be handed out. The game is now completed, with the Video Poker machine analyzing the cards to see if it is the same as any of the winning hands listed in the payment schedule.
Typically, the lowest succeeding hand on a Video Poker machine is a pair of jacks with the prize money increasing for each and every better hand. A common list of winning hands begins with jacks or better, moving on to 2 pairs, 3 of a kinds, straights, flushes, full houses, four of a kinds, straight flushes and last but not least royal flushes. It should be known that the payment schedule can vary from machine to machine, so that experienced gamblers are able to pick the most money-making machine each instance.
As soon as the first round has completed, the player can either choose to stay on in an attempt to increase their winnings, or press the ‘collect’ button to cash out any money that has been won. Further, some versions of the game give the bettor a chance to double their profits, in which case a further round is played. There are also variations between specific games, with some decks of cards having wild cards and other varying elements to enhance playability.
